Chongwe man defiles his own grand child

A 39 year old man of Chongwe District in Lusaka has defiled his 11 month old grand-daughter.

In a statement, Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said the matter was reported to the police by the victims mother, who lives in Libuko village. Mrs Katongo explained that the incident occurred last Thursday at around 17:00 hours.

The complainant declared that she left her daughter with the grandfather and upon her return found her daughter crying. Then when she checked the baby, she discovered semen on the victim’s thighs.

Mrs Katongo says a medical report has since been issued to the victim and the suspect has been detained.
