From Masaiti to Ndola: HH Reaffirms Commitment to Copperbelt

President Hakainde Hichilema wrapped up a productive tour of the Copperbelt Province with engagements in Masaiti, Luanshya and Ndola, reaffirming the UPND Government's commitment to inclusive development and economic growth.

In Masaiti, President Hichilema thanked residents for their continued support and encouraged them to protect the progress made by voting for the UPND this August.

In Luanshya, the President outlined key development initiatives aimed at revitalising the district. He announced that Government is working to grant small-scale miners access to selected mine dumpsites under a formalised and safe framework, following the successful model introduced in Chingola.

He also highlighted the revival of Shaft 28, the establishment of an ethanol plant and an explosives company, alongside plans to improve roads, upgrade the sewerage system and resolve concerns affecting former employees of Mpelembe Drilling Company.

The President was encouraged by pupils who expressed gratitude for the introduction of free education and the school feeding programme, describing them as life-changing interventions.

The tour concluded with a vibrant rally in Ndola, where President Hichilema interacted with residents and reiterated the Government's unwavering commitment to creating jobs, expanding opportunities and delivering meaningful development across the Copperbelt.
