HH-Peaceful Election is a Sign of Zambia’s Strengthened Stability
President Hakainde Hichilema has praised the peaceful environment that has shaped the 2026 General election. He said it is a reflection of the growing stability across Zambia over the last five years.
President Hichilema said the ongoing calmness in the country is necessary for citizens to pursue their aspirations and improve their livelihoods.
The President added that the appreciation of the local currency during the election period is a growing sign of confidence from local and foreign investors in Zambia.
Having cast his vote at Kabulonga Boys Secondary School in Lusaka, the President spoke to journalists immediately after and highlighted the stability of the kwacha which demonstrates that Zambia is at a low risk among the global investment community.
He urged citizens to continue maintaining peace and unity as the country undertakes the electoral process over the coming days.
