ECZ Ballot Transparency Receives Praise from Parties
Political party representatives travelled to Dubai to visit the Al Ghurair factory, where the ballot papers for the upcoming election on 13 August are being printed. Representatives commended the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) for running an open and transparent operation.
The Citizens' First presidential representative, Mr Chishiki, commented that his party is pleased with the ECZ's decision to involve stakeholders throughout the electoral process.
He implored Zambians to have confidence in the ECZ, stating that it is conducting an open and transparent operation in which all stakeholders have been given access.
Mr Kalumba, the Leadership Movement representative, echoed Mr Chishiki's remarks and added that political parties have been involved at every stage of the process, including the verification, printing and packaging of the ballot papers.
The General Manager of Al Ghurair informed the stakeholders that the printing of the ballot papers is expected to be completed by 15 July, with the serialisation process scheduled for completion by 17 July.
