President Hichilema to Hold Rally Outside Heroes Stadium

President Hakainde Hichilema is set to hold a rally outside National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka this Sunday, 28th June, in what is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of the UPND campaign so far.

Members of the public are invited to attend, with the event opening from 12pm.

The rally comes as campaigning intensifies ahead of Zambia's general election on 13th August. In recent weeks the President has crisscrossed the country, meeting party candidates and officials, where his message has centred on continuity, unity and the economic recovery achieved during his first term.

Sunday's event is expected to bring that message to the heart of Lusaka, a key electoral battleground. Party officials have encouraged supporters to arrive early, bring their families and turn out in numbers, framing the gathering as a show of strength and momentum as the campaign enters a decisive stretch.

The rally is likely to be among the most closely watched set-piece events of the campaign to date.
