VP Nalumango Confident of Securing Fresh Mandate

Vice President Mutale Nalumango said she is confident Zambians will grant the UPND a fresh mandate on August 13, supported by significant development achievements recorded over the past four years.

Mrs. Nalumango added she is re-elected, the UPND will continue to work to grow the economy, which has already successfully been stabilised. She said economic growth will improve livelihoods at household level and lower the cost of living especially given a lower inflation rate which has moved into single-digit territory. Mrs. Nalumango said employment opportunities will remain a priority in the next term of office.

The Vice President further stated that the UPND is actively engaging its party structures across the country. She emphasised that President Hakainde Hichilema's meetings with party officials should not be misconstrued as campaign rallies, explaining that the party's major campaign rallies are scheduled to begin soon.
