President Hichilema to arrive in Solwezi for Working Visit

President Hakainde Hichilema will arrive in Solwezi District, North-Western Province today, where he is undertaking a one-day working visit.

The Head of State is scheduled to begin the day by joining congregants for worship at the Solwezi Airport Seventh Day Adventist Church, a moment of reflection and fellowship with the local community before turning to the day's official business. Following the service, the President is expected to hold a series of engagements with UPND party structures across the province, meeting officials and members as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen the party's presence on the ground.

The visit was confirmed by North-Western Province Permanent Secretary Colonel Grandson Katambi, who outlined the President's programme during a media briefing in Solwezi. He noted that the trip reflects the Head of State's continued commitment to staying close to communities in every corner of the country.

UPND Provincial Chairperson Adam Sapezo said the President's visit comes at a critical moment, with the party intensifying its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2026 General Election.
