ZCCM-IH Holds Investment Talks in France Ahead of Capital Markets Day
ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) has held a series of high-level meetings with French institutions in Paris, laying the groundwork ahead of its much-anticipated Capital Markets and Investor Day.
The engagements brought together officials from the Zambian Embassy in France and senior representatives from the French Development Agency, Expertise France, the French Geological Survey and France's Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. At the heart of the discussions were investment opportunities in Zambia's mining and energy sectors, with particular focus on the development of the critical minerals that are increasingly vital to the global energy transition.
ZCCM-IH Board Chairperson Phesto Musonda said the talks reflected the deepening cooperation between Zambia and France across mining and sustainable energy. Zambia, he explained, is actively seeking long-term partnerships to underpin investment and drive growth in its mining industry, and ZCCM-IH sees itself as ideally positioned to connect international investors with the opportunities the country has to offer.
The meetings come at a pivotal moment, as Zambia works to ramp up copper production and cement its standing in the global minerals market. With demand for copper and other critical minerals climbing worldwide, the country is keen to present itself as a stable and attractive destination for foreign capital.
Building on that momentum, ZCCM-IH is expected to set out its investment strategy and growth plans before an audience of investors and analysts today at its Capital Markets and Investor Day in Paris
