ZDA Strikes $30 Million Deals in Angola

The Zambian Development Agency (ZDA) has secured over US $30 million in business deals and transactions after a successful trade mission to Angola, paving the way for stronger economic growth and job creation.

The mission, held from July 24 to 26, 2025, in Luanda, coincided with the 40th edition of the Luanda International Trade Fair.

ZDA Head of Communications and Public Relations, Kwali Mfuni, stated that the main areas of interests included the supply of cooking oils, cereals, honey, groundnuts, agricultural fertiliser, engineering equipment, and mining consultancy services for Angola.

Ms Mfuni also added that the successful trade mission generated promising leads for Zambian companies to form partnerships with Angolan firms, allowing them to gain a stronger foothold in the market and drive further growth.

Twenty Zambian companies were involved in the $30 million worth of deals, representing a range of sectors including manufacturing, agro-processing, agriculture, mining, and construction.

Ms Mfani noted that the mission’s primary goals were to forge new private-sector business linkages, explore trade opportunities, introduce Zambian firms to the Angolan market, and promote Zambian products.

The mission received support from Angola’s Agency for Private Investment and Promotion of Exports.
