Mukula Arrest Made by Zambia Police Service

Police in Lusaka have detained Mr. Ackson Tembo, aged 41, of Plot Number 36831 SOS Forest in Lusaka, on charges of alleged fraudulent activities according to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga.

Mr. Tembo, a businessman, is facing two counts of: obtaining money by false pretenses and obtaining pecuniary advantage.

The first count involves an incident where Mr. Tembo allegedly obtained $200,000 United States Dollars from Mr. Berto Bacara Pascoal, a Mozambican national. The money was purportedly for the supply of ten containers of Mukula logs between June 6, 2021, and September 30, 2021.

Additionally, Mr. Tembo has been charged with another offense of obtaining pecuniary advantage by false pretenses. It is alleged that Mr. Tembo received K1,900,000 for the sale of a Scania bus and two Volvo trucks and trailers to Kariki Investment Limited on November 23, 2021, in Lusaka.

Mr. Tembo is currently in custody awaiting his court appearance. The Zambia Police Service is committed to upholding the law and ensuring justice for all parties involved.
