The much celebrated and equally criticised relaunch of Zambia Airways has been postponed until next year. Originally it had been planned that the new Zambia Airways would take to the skies on October 24th of this year to mark the 54th anniversary of Zambia’s independence.

However, during the signing ceremony between shareholders Industrial Development Cooperation and Ethiopian Airlines, it was announced that the flight would in fact take place in January 2019.

The IDC owns 55% of the shares whilst Ethiopian owns 45%.
