Zambezi West Minister Badly Injured In Car Crash

Vumango Pascal Musumali, Zambezi West Member of Parliament, has survived a traffic accident but has been seriously injured.

The MP was thought to be travelling alone through Luanshya in the Copperbelt Province when the road incident occurred.

The accident has been reported to have happened at 15:00 on the 5th of July at the Kitwe/Ndola Dual Carriageway near the Michael Chilufya Sata Toll Plaza in Luanshya

The accident occurred when the vehicle, driven by the MP, was overturned due to excessive speed after the driver lost control.

Mr Musumali, following extreme body pains and a bruised right arm, was admitted to Ndola Teaching Hospital.

Sharon Zulu, Copperbelt Province Police Commanding Officer, stated β€œThe accident happened when the motor vehicle was being driven along the said road from west to east direction and in the process, the driver lost control of the motor vehicle which overturned due to excessive speed cc A4 refers.”

The MP was elected during the last election and is currently serving on the parliamentary committee on Parastatal Bodies.
