#15 of OZ’s top Zambians of 2017 is Patson Daka.
Earlier in March, Patson powered Chipolopolo U-20 to clinch the Africa U20 Cup of Nations, finishing joint-top scorer with four goals and he was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Currently he is plying his trade at FC Liefering in Austria, the feeder club to the well known outfit Red Bull Salzburg. At Liefering he is teamed up with fellow Zambian “Computer” Mwepu, where they are both flourishing.
Patson was delighted by his nomination for the African Youth Player of the Year award and has said he is motivated to keep working hard. The 19-year-old who had a phenomenal year must beat off competitions from Salam Giddou [Mali], Eric Ayiah [Ghana], Krepin Diatta [Senegal] and Luther Singh [South Africa] to clinch the individual accolade.
Given his current ability, we may see someone that can match the great Chitalu’s international record. Keep it up Patson Zambia is watching closely!
